Sandra Hanna

Sandra loves to spend her time writing poetry, crafting stories, and painting subjects that are dear to her.

Sandra, born in 1948 is a Yorkshire lass who grew up in a small mining village. As a teenager, Sandra developed a deep passion for theatre and acting, a love possibly inherited from her grandmother, an accomplished performer in the traditional music hall.

After studying drama and English at Coventry College, Sandra found that her love for acting and storytelling could truly flourish in the classroom setting. She dedicated herself to fostering and inspiring her young students, particularly in the arts, by running after-school art, dance, and drama clubs. She served as a primary school teacher for nearly four decades. In recognition of her efforts, the local education authority honoured her with a special achievement award.

Sandra works primarily with acrylics on canvas, but she also applies her newly acquired digital art skills to create mixed-media pieces. These digital abilities have also allowed Sandra to illustrate a children’s story she had been developing for several years. Her debut children’s storybook, ‘The Magician’s Plot’, is now available.
